Firstly, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Hiep (Hiệp), a Piano technician who is also the founder of Pianonet. This brand belongs to Phuc Lam company which is located in Kim Ma street, Hanoi, Vietnam. I have two small children and one ”big” wife. Here comes the main part of my speech:

Most customers, when selecting a piano, does not have enough experiences and they all feel rather anxious, especially when they are looking for second hand ones. So why don’t they want to purchase a brand-new Piano? The reason for this is brand-new one has three basic disadvantages: 1. High expense and fast price-reduction; 2. Third-world-country origins (China, Indonesia,…); 3. Industrial materials of which the timber parts are not dried and processed properly as before.

So, why don’t customers ask for help from piano specialists (piano technicians and teachers) to select for them? The answer is: there are not many piano technicians and it is difficult to find them in Vietnam. Regarding the piano teachers, two things should be born in mind. Firstly, their strengths are performing and teaching only. They do not have much experience in distinguishing a good or a bad piano in terms of originality, mechanical movement, synchronousness and accuracy among parts of piano in moving, which belongs to technical fields and absolutely not their expertise. Once, I myself looked for a piano for the kids. Understanding people’s concerns from the viewpoint of a parent, I started this business. After a long process of research, study and practice to become a piano technician, I established Pianonet brand with an aim to assist you who are parents to minimize the confusion/anxiety while shopping for a piano.
